out to buy this one, because it's basically the same. If you didn't like how the first game played out, don't opt. I find this game just as easy as the first game, even though I'm playing with Japanese Subs/Dubs, not much has changed in my opinion. But this is coming from someone who Loves Koei/Tecmo games such as Dynasty Warriors, and Warriors games alike, so don't expect much to change at all. I wouldn't say the gameplay is entirely different by any means. The only thing I've noticed that's different is tree's don't break your lines (Small ones anyways), like they used to, and instead of hitting multiple buttons to latch onto a titan when you're going to attack it, you have to simply hit one button. You rely mostly one one hit kills, and that's about it. I'm not too sure why anyone is saying otherwise, the game is very much the same as the first game. Playing the first game and this one for 8 hours, I can say, the combat pretty much feels the same. PS: You can only change difficulty in main menu. As for difficulty Hard actually poses some challenge to me, enough to make me get caught once or twice in a mission. Combat surely does have some improvement and that's always what I am looking forward to. I also happens to be able to read chinese so that's no problem for me. Thanks for the reply, I can't wait and bought the game. If you enjoyed the first one, the sequel is way worth it's full price. Oh and both your tanks and sword wont ran out after a few slashes / boosts anymore :3Īs for difficulty I'm playing it on normal as I have no clue how to change it. Regardless to say flying is better, graphics are better, and everything is better hahaha. In addition titans get enranged, and also there is well timed dodge system (which you will barely use but is there) where you get a special cinematic sequence if you perform it. There is no more "special flare" to make yourself super strong in exchange each main character from the anime who joins your team will have an special ability. She is now excited to share her writing with the world.Originally posted by GutsRage:Combat is so much more fleshed out in this one, plus you have full mouse support this time around. It does allow for more freedom in missions, though, and for all of its shortcomings, the game more than makes up for it with its upgraded UI, combat, and movement. Many of the relationship-building and RPG mechanics are unexciting and rob the game of the excellent pacing in Wit Studio's anime adaptation. This switch to a unique user-created character is something of a mixed bag. The title places players in the shoes of an unnamed recruit and lets them watch the story play out from a new perspective. The sequel builds on its foundations to provide an even better experience.Īttack on Titan 2 with its Final Battle DLC is currently the closest thing there is to a definitive AoT game. Ultimately, the game is rough around the edges, but it manages to capture the spirit of the series and the fantasy of expertly dashing through the air to kill giant enemies. Players can whip around in the air and cut down titans with their swords, just as characters do in the show. The story is simplified, but the game's implementation of ODM Gear is great. The original 2016 Attack on Titan game by Koei Tecmo adapts the first season of the anime and the start of the second season.
